Field Volunteers
Field volunteers are the driving force behind HeadCount. Since our launch in 2004, music fans from all walks of life have signed on to help register other fans to vote and encourage participation in democracy. Our organizational mission is fulfilled through the interaction between our volunteers and thousands of other people. As the true frontline warriors in the fight for democracy, volunteers must be enthusiastic, good communicators and most of all reliable. They also must be willing to miss part (or, in some cases, all) of a concert and make HeadCount’s activities their priority the night of an event. Volunteers are asked to be at the concert venue before doors open to the public, help set up the table, and then proactively engage music fans. At the end of the night, volunteers help break down the HeadCount table and organize completed forms.
Volunteer position.
Requirements
- Maturity, strong work ethic and responsibility
- Enthusiasm
- Willingness to proactively register voters, which includes approaching people directly and asking them to register to vote
