Vermont will hold its state primary on Aug. 11th. Vermont voters are automatically registered at the address on their state issued ID. If you have moved or do not have a state issued ID, please register to vote. You can register to vote in-person any day in Vermont, including during early voting and on election day. If you would prefer to vote by-mail, you must submit an absentee ballot application.
Some congressional seats, state offices and constitutional amendments may be included on the ballot.
Early Voting Dates: June 27th to Aug. 10th
You can vote in-person at your town clerk’s office from June 27th to Aug. 10th, using an absentee ballot. No excuse required.
To vote absentee by-mail, first you’ll need to apply for an absentee ballot (click here) no later than Aug. 10th. Then, when you complete your absentee ballot, it must be received by 7 pm on election day, Aug. 11th.
The absentee ballot application period opens Jan.1st. You must submit an application for an absentee ballot by-mail for each election.
