Registered voters in KY must show photo ID at the polls or have their ID confirmed if an election official is personally acquainted with them.
- Driver’s license from Kentucky or from another state
- Social Security card
- Kentucky County ID card, approved by state board of elections
- Credit card
- Any photo ID with your signature, including a student ID
What happens when you go to vote without an ID
If you do not have the needed ID and is not acquainted with the election official, you may cast a provisional ballot. For the ballot to be counted you must sign a written oath.
