Acceptable ID Types for Oregon
Voters in Oregon do NOT need to show ID to vote at the polls, except for first-time voters who did not submit documentation of ID on their voter registration form. Oregon has adopted vote-by-mail for all elections if voter provided ID information on their voter registration form, no further ID is needed. Valid forms of identification include;
- Current photo ID, or a copy if submitting by mail
- Utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document/check with voter's name and address
- Student ID is accepted
- Out of state ID is accepted

If this is your first time voting and you registered to vote by mail, you will need to provide identification. We recommend a photo ID with your current address or an official piece of mail with your current address.
What happens when you go to vote without an ID
You are not required to show your ID to vote in Oregon.
