Our LOCKN’ Family Inspires Us

8,924 actions taken by festival-goers. $18,500 raised from the silent auction (featuring a signed D’Angelico guitar) to be shared by the orgs of Participation Row. Close to $20,000 raised via the festival stream to support the Charlottesville Community Fund. 4,000 pounds of food collected by Conscious Alliance for the Nelson County Food Pantry. 575 voters registered or signed up for local election alerts. The numbers alone show how much the LOCKN’ community gave back in these last few days.

LOCKNites also snagged hundreds of free scoops of Ben & Jerry’s and custom-made stainless steel LOCKN’ water bottles from Klean Kanteen!

When our vans full of supplies arrive in Virginia we know we are home. And we know how incredible of a home it can be. This year was no different! From Thursday to Sunday Participation Row was bumping like never before. Every year this festival is incredible, and somehow every year we break more sets of Participation Row records. Never before have so many actions been taken at LOCKN’. Never before has so much food been collected.

And this year’s pair of Legendary LOCKN’ Guitars from D’Angelico wound up as special as ever. They were signed by Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes, Joe Russo, Marc Brownstein, Brandi Carlile, Marcus King, Brendan Bayliss, Eric Krasno and Keller Williams. The winner of the free giveaway was Shauna H, from Grafton, Ohio.

Participating organizations included: Conscious Alliance, Love Hope Strength, Charlottesville Pride Community Network, Crozet Tunnel Foundation, Factory Farming Awareness Coalition, Giving Hope Foundation, Lynchburg Humane Society, Moms Clean Air Force, North Branch School, Park School, RecycleLife, United Plant Saver, Wild Virginia, Wintergreen Adaptive Sports, Virginia Industrial Hemp Coalition, and of course, HeadCount.

See you next year at LOCKN’s Participation Row!
