Sarah’s love of live music made her role at HeadCount a natural fit. She grew up attending concerts with her family from a young age, which sparked a lifelong passion for following jam bands across the country. Over the years, she has been to hundreds of shows and festivals and held roles with various music organizations and venues, including Relix and Brooklyn Bowl. That journey ultimately led her to HeadCount — the perfect intersection of her passion for live music and civic engagement.
Sarah officially joined the HeadCount team in 2019, just ahead of the most exciting and challenging year in the organization’s history: the 2020 election cycle. Over the course of a few years, she completed a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management while taking classes and working full time, applying what she was learning in real time to support the organization’s rapid growth and evolving infrastructure.
She is deeply passionate about nonprofit operations and the behind-the-scenes work that powers mission-driven success. Being part of HeadCount’s expansion and increasing impact has been both a personal and professional highlight, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to its evolution as a leader in civic engagement.
Outside of work, Sarah is an avid fan of Phish, The Grateful Dead, Disco Biscuits, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Dave Matthews Band, to name just a few. When she’s not at a concert, you can find her biking around and hitting the ski slopes every weekend that she gets the chance.
