Laura Gallegos

Laura, a Decision Science major with a Hispanic Studies minor at Carnegie Mellon University, is a vibrant blend of cultural richness and passion for the arts. Her upbringing in Queens, New York, amidst a Colombian-Mexican family, has ingrained a profound respect for community values and an enduring love for music. You'll often find her immersed with her headphones, curating monthly playlists of her latest song discoveries. Her passion for community engagement is evident in her roles as Vice President of the Spanish and Latine Student Association at CMU and a member of the Dietrich Community Engagement Fellowship. These roles allow her to foster a sense of belonging and cultural pride within her campus community. As a Gen Z-er, Laura appreciates the power of technology to connect people across the globe, especially through social media. A lifelong dancer, Laura finds joy and expression through the arts. She's thrilled to be merging her passions for music, arts, and community engagement in her upcoming role as a Digital Intern for HeadCount.
