Brittania Smead’s passion is lifting diverse voices and celebrating differences in order to build strong and equitable communities. She finds strength in her family and friends and continues to love her home state of New York. Brittania started with HeadCount in May 2018 after years of advocacy and organizing on public interest campaigns in NY. She graduated from SUNY Purchase with a degree in Sociology and currently works in the Marketing Department at GreenSpark Solar, a local solar company in the Rochester and Western NY area.
After seeing her at the HeadCount booth before your favorite band goes on, you’ll find her dancing the day/night away at the show. If you don’t find her there, she’s probably reading, going on adventures with her partner and the cutest dog ever, or looking for the next tv show to binge.
