Primary Election Dates
All primary elections in Washington D.C. are closed. Only voters affiliated with a specific party may vote in that party's primary.
In 2024 Washington D.C. voted on Initiative 83 to open their primary elections to unaffiliated voters. In 2025, the D.C. Council voted to not implement opening the primary elections, despite the results of Initiatve 83.
