On September 7th, The Roots and Bob Weir will headline a special benefit concert for HeadCount at the newly re-opened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. Special guests will include Warren Haynes, Grace Potter, Bobby Keys, and others are expected as well.
The Capitol Theatre is one of rock and roll's most illustrious venues, and has hosted concerts by The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin and Weir’s own Grateful Dead. After falling out of regular use in the 80’s, the 90-year-old venue re-opened last night with a concert by Bob Dylan. “A rock theater that looks and sounds as great as the Capitol is something to celebrate,” said the NY Times in their show review.
