Acceptable ID Types for Oregon
Voters in Oregon do not need to show ID to vote at the polls, except for first-time voters who did not submit documentation of ID on their voter registration form. Oregon has adopted vote-by-mail for all elections if voter provided ID information on their voter registration form, no further ID is needed. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Current photo ID, or a copy if submitting by mail
- Utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document/check with voter's name and address
- Student ID is accepted
- Out of state ID is accepted

If this is your first time voting and you registered to vote by mail, you will need to provide identification. We recommend a photo ID with your current address or an official piece of mail with your current address.
