Acceptable ID Types for Arizona

Arizona voters must show ID at the polls to vote. All identification must be current or unexpired. If your ID has a different address from where you are registered, you must also bring two non-photo identification options from the 2nd list.

Photo ID with name and address of the elector, valid forms of identification include;

  • Valid Arizona driver’s license
  • Valid Arizona non-operating ID license
  • Tribal enrollment card or other form of tribal ID
  • Valid United States federal, state, or local government-issued identification

Arizona voters may also use two (2) forms of non-photo ID that bear the name and address of the elector, if they do not have access to a valid photo ID. Valid forms of non-photo identification include;

  • Utility bill of the elector that is dated within 90 days of the date of the election. A utility bill may be for electric, gas, water, solid waste, sewer, telephone, cellular phone, or cable television
  • Bank or credit union statement that is dated within 90 days of the date of the election
  • Valid Arizona Vehicle Registration or insurance card
  • Tribal ID
  • Property tax statement of the elector’s residence
  • Recorder’s Certificate
  • Valid United States federal, state, or local government-issued identification, including a voter registration card issued by the County Recorder
  • Any mailing to the elector marked “Official Election Material”
  • Federal, state, or local ID

What happens when you go to vote without an ID

You can vote using a provisional ballot.  You must provide a valid ID at the polling place by 7 p.m. on Election Day, or you may go to the county board of elections or county clerk's office within 5 days after a federal election, or within 3 days after any other kind of election for your vote to count.
