Arcade Fire Urges Fans to Donate to Haiti at Concert

At the Quebec Summer Festival last night Arcade Fire had to a lot to say about Haiti, and probably played an awesome show. Lead singer Regine Chassagne spoke about a nonprofit called Kanpe, where she sits on the Board of Directors, that is channeling Canadian Government Aid money towards Haiti's poor.

Last night marked the 6th month anniversary of the horrific earthquake that struck Haiti. With other disasters like the oil spill, it's easy for people to forget. So it's important influential bands like Arcade Fire continue to bring this to our attention, and encourage us to take action.

Lead Singer Win Butler asked fans to donate $5 by texting 30333 and said that Arcade Fire would match any donations made up to $1 million. "Please, take our money" he said.
