Tennessee will hold its state primary election on Aug. 6th. If you would prefer to vote by-mail, you must submit an absentee ballot application. Excuse required.
Some congressional seats, state offices and constitutional amendments may be included on the ballot.
Early Voting Dates: Jul. 17th to Aug. 1st
You can vote in person at your county Election Commission’s office from Jul. 15th to Aug.1st before the election. No excuse required.
To vote absentee by-mail, first you’ll need to apply for an absentee ballot (click here) no later than Jul. 30th. Then, when you complete your absentee ballot, it must be received by 6 pm on election day.
The absentee ballot application period opens 90 days before each election. You must submit an application for each election that you would like to participate in by-mail. You’ll need to give an excuse to vote by-mail absentee ballot. Info here on what qualifies.
