Right out of the Vegas summer heat Tyus Sheppard recently joined HeadCount in 2021 as the first Election Research Associate. From a young age, Tyus was extremely active in activism work involving the LGBTQ+ community and raising awareness on the impacts of bullying. The more he volunteered for political activism causes, the more he realized that he wanted to pursue a career in politics. Right now, Tyus is a political management master's student at George Washington University. After Tyus has had a long day of doing schoolwork, he listens to music to wind down. Some of the artists that our researcher loves are Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Doja Cat. He loves pop culture. Not only does he listen to music, but he also has found a passion for singing as he was in choir throughout high school. HeadCount has become a perfect home for Tyus as it's a perfect mix of the two things he loves
