For Sam Turnbull, HeadCount is located at the perfect intersection of music and activism, and has been a rewarding, important, and joyous part of her life since 2016. After two years of volunteering, she graduated to Team Leader in 2018. Sam has been a music obsessive and avid concert goer since she was young, having attended over 300 shows to date, spanning every imaginable genre. 21 of these 300+ shows can be attributed to Pearl Jam, her favorite band. Her most prized possession is a tambourine Eddie Vedder gave her on her birthday.
Sam graduated from the University of Maryland in 2014, double majoring in communications and sociology. Throughout that time, she interned and volunteered across the music industry, at venues, radio stations, and record labels. She is currently a Sales Lead & Account Manager at a creative agency, and a resident of Chicago via NYC. Sam's strengths include finding new restaurants and making new band recommendations. She is always down for a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll, and is always ready to promote democracy.
