Nina DeSell has been a HeadCount Team Leader in Baltimore since 2017, also covering shows in DC and Philly. She began volunteering when she became an empty-nester. For years, Nina would go to shows and festivals with her daughter, as a way to connect and spend time together. She began volunteering with HeadCount to merge her need for civic commitment, love of music and live shows. She enjoys going to shows and engaging volunteers. Nina always loves the energy and connectivity of live shows and festivals.
Alt rock, indie and punk rock both new and vintage have been her mixtape since the ’80s. Old favorites include Ramones, REM, The Clash, Elvis Costello, The Go Go’s, The Pretenders and new Grouplove, Young the Giant, Bleachers, Walk the Moon, Dreamers, Night Riots, The Mowglis, Matt and Kim.
