Mike led one of the first-ever tours for Headcount - Dave Matthews Band in 2004 - and has been on touring teams for Jack Johnson, Phish, and Dead & Co. He currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Sara and is a Sociology professor at John Tyler College, teaching courses in social problems, anthropology, gender and sexuality, and race and ethnicity. He believes our most pressing social issues can be better addressed through increased political participation and representation, especially amongst millennials. In his free time, he DJs and covers local music for his community radio station WRIR 97.3fm Richmond Independent Radio and goes to see as many bands as he possibly can.
