Lamont Carolina

Lamont Carolina joined HeadCount after serving as a Regional Field Director on the Elizabeth Colbert Busch for Congress Campaign in Charleston, SC and the Director of Voter Registration for the state of North Carolina for Organizing for America. As the Director of Voter Registration for OFA, Lamont created, facilitated and organized programs that were instrumental in registering over 340,000 new voters and increasing the vote among targeted groups in North Carolina.

Lamont's dedication and passion for social advocacy and politics began during his tenure at Keystone College, where he served in a number of service oriented organizations and was even given the honor of speaking about the value of serving others during Keystone's annual Martin Luther King Day celebration in 2013. Lamont has also participated in a number of outreach oriented trips, including a trip to Haiti, after the earthquake, where he helped organize educational programs designed to assist children in recovering from emotional stress and trauma.

Currently, Lamont serves as a member of community board 16. In addition, Lamont continues to participate in community and political organizing.
