Kelly was born and raised on Long Island, NY, and spent her collegiate years in North Carolina where she earned a degree in political science from Pfeiffer University. While living in North Carolina she volunteered with Organizing for America and her team was responsible for creating the highest voter turn-out ever in the history of the district that they served. Currently Kelly is working within the Pet Pharmaceutical industry and bartending on the side while she explores what her next step in continuing her education will be.
Kelly’s dad introduced her to The Grateful Dead at young age and she has been hooked ever since. Her taste in music ranges from classic rock to hip hop and covers just about everything in between. She is passionate about social justice issues and the importance of civic participation. Kelly spends her free time yelling at the TV due to the NY Jets and NY Rangers, reading, writing, going to shows and hanging out with friends.
