Jake Quinn spent his career in Washington, DC, finally escaping to Asheville in 2005. He has been going to concerts since 1969, and moved to Asheville for the music, but became active in North Carolina politics, too. These days he chairs his county Board of Elections, umpires youth baseball, volunteers at public radio station WNCW 88.7-FM, and is thrilled to be Grandpa to his two Asheville-born grandchildren.
