Io Hernandez-Rivera

Io (she/her) grew up in Greenville, SC where she learned how to play the violin from a very young age. Growing up, she had a strong passion for social justice but was not sure how to mix it together with her love for music. Now at DePauw University, Io is pursuing her Violin Performance and Global French Studies double degree. During the rest of her time, Io is dedicated to social justice work which includes organizing protests, creating educational programming for her community, and being a part of a multitude of committees and organizations that are committed to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

In her free time, Io enjoys trying new foods, watching the sunset, drinking tea, going to museums, and of course, practicing her instrument. Io is excited to get to work with HeadCount and see how much more of a difference she can make in the world.
