Donald and Kimberly, aka ‘Team Tatera’, first experienced the amazing power of HeadCount while volunteering for Love Hope Strength at three Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well concerts in Santa Clara, CA and Chicago, IL in June/July 2015.
Volunteering and making a positive difference in the world is nothing new as Donald is an Apple Valley Parks & Recreation Commissioner for the last 8+ years; he co-founded and helped secure $600,000+ in federal and state grants for the Apple Valley Legacy Trail, which provides mountain hiking, biking, walking and horse riding opportunities for all locals to enjoy; both have been Lead Volunteers for Love Hope Strength for 6+ years at many varied concerts helping get 2200+ people ON THE LIST to be potential life saving marrow donors and have got 28 life saving matches! Both are very involved with Rotary International as Donald is a Past Club President, District Polio Plus Chair, and an active member working to eradicate illiteracy and polio, and to provide clean water, etc. Lastly, they both are Board Member of the Victor Valley Community Concert Association, where we bring world class jazz, classical and opera performers to the High Desert.
When not saving the world, Donald makes the world more beautiful, one room at a time as an international award winning Interior Designer & General Contractor for Decorating Den Interiors, which he and Kimberly own. Kimberly is an amazing 5th grade math & science Teacher and helps build tomorrow’s future today! Both love living in Apple Valley, CA, in the High Desert, with their 2 Chow Chows, which are their four legged, furry kids. Hobbies include: LOTS of music/concerts, wine, travel, driving slow British cars quickly, and going shooting to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. Life is short, live it with no regrets!
