Becca Klein

Becca, who received her B.S. in Communications from Appalachian State University, began with  HeadCount as a field volunteer in Charlotte, NC. Later she moved to Atlanta and currently works full time as Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper’s Development Director working to maintain and grow UCR’s financial base and enable the organization to continue their mission of advocating for and securing protection and enhancement of the Chattahoochee River. One thing’s for sure, she’s not a stranger to working in the non-profit sector. Prior to moving to Atlanta to work with UCR, Becca worked as Development Director for the Catawba Riverkeeper in Charlotte, NC; the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she served as a Major Gifts Officer; the National Organization for Women Boone Chapter; Linville-Central Search and Rescue Squad; and Grandfather Home for Children. Before that, she worked as a reporter and news editor for High Country Media.

In her spare time Becca also volunteers with the Human Rights Campaign, and is a member of the Georgia Aquarium’s New Wave Society and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
