Social Media Marketing Manager

Salary: $60,000-$67,500

Location: Remote or Hybrid Remote/Office (NYC)

The Social Media Marketing Manager oversees HeadCount’s interactions with the public through implementing content strategies on social media and digital platforms. Their duties include writing social media copy, analyzing engagement data, identifying trends and planning digital campaigns to build and engage with HeadCount’s online community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of social media channels
  • Create and implement monthly social media strategy and content
  • Utilize multiple digital channels including email, SMS, web content and video, to engage the HeadCount community
  • Prepare graphics to accompany social media posts using Canva while also working with in-house designers
  • Assist with the process of creating suggested  social media copy, calendars and kits  for  HeadCount partners including musicians, brands and nonprofit organizations
  • Facilitate scaling the HeadCount brand and campaign awareness through various social media channels
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone and voice
  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between followers and HeadCount, and ensure a positive  experience for community members
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers and engagement through social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as platform-based analytics, Iconosquare, and Google Analytics
  • Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly content calendar, including email newsletter

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of social media management experience
  • Sharp wit with strong creative writing and content creation skills skills that can engage with young audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field
  • Passion for social impact, democracy, and the intersection of culture and activism
  • Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite
  • Strong computer skills
  • Organized and can manage multiple social channels and calendars
  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
  • Experience with social media ad buying
  • Ability to work within messaging guidelines and remain politically nonpartisan

 

IT’S A PLUS IF YOU: 

  • Are bilingual
  • Are proficient in Adobe Suites
  • Use platforms like Twitch and Discord
  • Are a content creator yourself… you can edit video and/or are comfortable on camera and have your own social media following
  • Are well versed in politics
  • Are well versed in the content creator landscape across YouTube and TikTok
  • Are a huge music fan and love going to concerts
