How The Beatles Brought Down The Soviet Empire

Everyone loves a poll, which is like an election only much less consequential. New York City public television station Channel Thirteen wants to know which musical artist had the greatest impact on history. Over the past few weeks, entries have been narrowed down to the Beatles, Bono, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and Michael Jackson. Something to consider on the twentieth anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall.

The poll, which ends at midnight tonight, is tied to this evening's airing of "How the Beatles Rocked the Kremlin." This cool documentary shows how the four moptops helped bring down the Soviet empire through the style, attitude, and music. Voters have a shot at winning the Beatles' 17-disk remastered box set as well as other valuable prizes and tote bags.

If you don't happen to live in New York City, turns out you can also watch the doc on YouTube:
