Both the Sierra Club and the Princeton Review (the test-preparation service and consumer-guide publisher) have each released their latest lists of America's greenest colleges.
The Sierra Club's gridlike list of "the Most Eco-Enlightened U.S. Colleges" (left) awarded its highest marks to the University of Colorado at Boulder based on the institution's efficiency, energy, food, academics, purchasing, transportation, waste management, and administration.
The Review provided its second annual "2010 Green Rating Honor Roll" of colleges in alphabetical order based on the criteria of "everything from energy use, recycling, food, buildings, and transportation to academic offerings (availability of environmental studies degrees and courses) and action plans and goals concerning greenhouse gas emission reductions."
