Why do you like volunteering for HeadCount?: I love interacting with people at the table -- I've made some good friends that way. What keeps me coming back are my team volunteers. The fact that they keep coming back show after show proves to me time and again the importance of what we are doing and the solidarity we have in getting the job done.
Hobbies: I like to be outside and to travel. And I'll read just about anything you put in front of me.
Melissa has been the NYC Team Leader since February 2008. She registered more voters than anybody that year (over 3,000). She recently went out on the road with Abby Brazina for training tour and guided the team at Gathering of the Vibes to register over 200 people and bring in 775 pledges to vote.
