HeadCount is hiring a full-time Outreach Director to oversee our national voter registration field campaign, working primarily out of our New York City office but also traveling to events and working in the field on a regular basis. Candidates must be passionate about both music and democratic participation, and have a strong track record in grassroots organizing, while also bringing a creative eye push-the-envelope approach to their work.
This position involves overseeing HeadCount’s national network of 20,000 volunteers in cities all over the U.S., registering and engaging voters at live music events. It calls for the ability to multi-task and serve as an inspiring leader of volunteers while also being an extremely organized operator of systems that require an eye for detail and legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in grassroots organizing, volunteer coordination, or voter registration. Recent college graduates with relevant extracurricular activities, or professionals with 1 to 5 years of work experience are encouraged to apply.
