Acceptable ID Types for Alaska
Alaska voters must bring an unexpired ID with them to the polls to vote. Valid forms of identification include;
- Signed voter ID card
- Driver’s license issued by any state
- State ID card issued by any state
- Hunting or fishing license issued by any state
- Military ID card
- US Passport
- Other current or valid photo identification (including student photo ID)
If you do not have the one of the identifications listed above, you may present a current utility bill or paycheck, government check or bank statement or other government issued document. These documents must have your current residence address.

The photo-ID requirement may be waived if an election worker can attest to who you are.
What happens when you go to vote without an ID
You can vote using a provisional ballot. A review board will decide if that ballot can be counted.
