Maybe you’ve been approached by them while enjoying a beverage in the parking lot before a show. They peruse the lots in off-white T-shirts and whisk away every empty can in sight, depriving concertgoers of numerous nickel deposits. For this these mysterious environmentalists receive the occasional “thank you,” but that's enough to keep the Dave Matthews Band’s Bama Green Project volunteers doing what they do.
As part of the So Much To Save recycling effort, now in its second year, volunteers have been handing out cards to help fans make a conscious decision to go green and recycle at DMB shows. According to an email announcement sent last week, the unique codes found on these cards can now be redeemed for a free So Much To Save 2009 downloadable album featuring highlights from this summer’s performances by both DMB and some of the band’s opening acts.
