It's beginning to sound a little like Christmas thanks to Bob Dylan, whose forthcoming Christmas in the Heart is easily the most disturbing, ridiculous, and superfluous collection of seasonal song in recent memory. Yes, it's that great – and you can hear the 30-second samples removed from its Amazon page here.

Even better – or worse! – Dylan has opted to make the album available to Citibank users, at least those who participate in the bank's awards program, a week prior to its official October 13 release date. The Huffington Post published the official Citigroup press release on this Dickensian dealio. And before we dump on Dylan for selling out, he is donating all profits to the World Food Programme.

"Aligning with industry pioneer, Sony Music Entertainment, reinforces our commitment to providing our members with unique and rewarding experiences," said Nancy Gordon, executive vice president, Citi's ThankYou Network. "This relationship gives our members virtually instant access to one of the most important music collections in history, in addition to promotional offers involving some of the most exciting artists in the recording industry. And it's a great opportunity for members to use very few points to get a reward that has such a broad and passionate appeal among consumers."
