On November 4th, Texas will present six ballot measures to voters. While these six measures will deal with a host of issues, the Citizenship Voting Requirement Amendment asks voters whether or not they support amending the state constitution to prohibit noncitizens from voting in the state. Currently it is illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections, but in recent years many states have brought forth similar ballot measures to voters seeking to specifically outlaw the practice on the state and local level.
