HeadCount Campus Chapter
HeadCount is looking for motivated college students to organize campus chapters.
HeadCount chapters will operate as sanctioned student activities on campuses around the U.S. Each chapter will participate in some or all of the following:
- On-Campus Voter Registration
- Event Organizing (Concerts, Fundraisers, Political Debates)
- Student Radio Shows
- Non-Partisan Political Education
If you are interested in organizing a HeadCount chapter on your campus please complete the following steps:
- Register as a HeadCount volunteer by clicking HERE
- Recruit at least two other students who will help organize the HeadCount chapter and potentially serve as officers.
- Go to your school’s student activities office or student government and obtain the guidelines for chartering a sanctioned student activity (in electronic format. If an electronic format is not available, you will need to scan the document)
- ATTACH your RESUME and the COPY OF THE GUIDELINES FOR CHARTERING A STUDENT ACTIVITY ON YOUR CAMPUS and e-mail them to campuscoordinator@headcount.org
- In the body of your e-mail, please send your name, phone number and e-mail address, and the name, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the two other participating students. Then, please respond to the following questions:
- Why do you think voter participation amongst 18-25 year olds is so low?
- Why do you want to lead a chapter of HeadCount at your school.
- What skills or experience do you have that will help you be a successful Campus Leader?
- Please describe your vision of what the HeadCount chapter at your campus would comprise and how it would operate.
REMEMBER: You must include a copy of your resume and the campus bylaws regarding student organizations, as well as contact information for yourself and two other students.
If you have any questions or would like guidance before submitting your responses feel free to e-mail CampusCoordinator@headcount.org.
THANK YOU
