Polatik’s Tea Party Rap

If this doesn't kill rap to death, nothing will.

Polatik, a "26 year old Texan who has gone from convict to community leader in three short years," lays out the movement's tenets behind some ponderous beats. Meanwhile, the video concentrate's on the Party's dozen or so black members. And as Polatik reassures us, "it's not a race thing, though you hear that of-ten." You mean the KKK's not involved? Good!

Polatik's video appears to have been shot by Rightnetwork, a media company funded by the actor Kelsey Grammar and Comcast that's launching this summer "to entertain, engage, and enlighten Americans who are looking for content that reflects and reinforces their perspective and worldview." Which sounds to me like merely another iteration of the right-wing echo chamber, although it will feature promising shows such as "Right to Laugh" and "Politics and Poker."
